6 Basic information on functional training
Strength
The focus of functional training is on applications in which you work with your own body weight as resistance to achieve stability.
BALANCE
Functional training programs require a high degree of balance, since specific movements must be made to move from an unstable to a stable end position.
STABILITY
With the mobilization of the joints and targeted support for the natural functioning of the muscles in movement sequences, functional training increases resilience.
FLEXIBILITY
Optimal flexibility success is achieved by stressing the muscles and the individual joints through both active and passive movements in order to prevent incorrect loads.
ENDURANCE
One goal of functional training is to maintain a certain intensity of the exercises over a given period of time in order to optimize fitness in the long term.
SPEED
The increase in the speed of action and reaction should also be achieved through the targeted training of movement patterns and thus the motoric, physical abilities should be trained.
